About the game
What happens in the arena
You are an alien crew, and today is a scheduled collection of Earth's fauna. Two saucers fly over a sleeping town, each on its own route; you stand on board with a gravity beam in your hands while streets, yards and roofs drift by below, full of unsuspecting creatures. The saucer will not stop or turn around — a yard you missed drifts away for good.
Mechanics
How to play
Capture
Aim the beam and hold — the animal lifts off the ground and rises to the saucer. Everything that reaches the deck counts for the team.
Switch modes
The narrow beam is strong and precise, for big and valuable prey. The wide one is weaker but takes several targets at once when small fry is scattered below.
Intercept
An animal in a rival beam is fair game. Whoever pulls it to their own saucer gets the points; the loser watches their cow fly off to the neighbours.
Work as a crew
Five on board means dividing the work: someone takes the valuable big prey, someone vacuums up the small fry with the wide beam, someone guards against the rival beam. The route is the same for everyone, and there is no second chance at this yard.
Tactics
The key to victory is choosing the target
Prey is worth different amounts: a couple of cats will not replace one cow, but a cow takes longer to pull and needs the narrow, powerful beam. The wide beam is weaker but covers several small targets at once. And above all: the neighbouring saucer is busy with the same thing.
