About the game
What happens in the arena
The field and the beds are shared: no home and away halves. A bed belongs to nobody until someone sticks a hoe into it. Each bed goes the same way: dig, water, grow, pull. The vegetables are carried to the team scales: the more vegetables, the lower the pan drops — that is your score, visible to everyone right in the arena.
Mechanics
How to play
Dig
Three strokes of the hoe turn virgin soil into a ready bed. The earth changes before your eyes, so you can see how much is left.
Water
Fill the can at the well — it is enough for exactly one bed. Three waterings, but not in a row: between them the sprout grows and the bed dries out — the signal to pour again.
Harvest
You cannot pull a vegetable from afar. Free both hands, grab it with your palms, pull it towards you. One hand will not do, the vegetable simply slips away.
Weigh in and spoil rival crops
Bring it to the scales for a point; you can throw from afar too, but a miss sends the vegetable back to the field. Rival crops cannot be delivered — but you can pull them first and throw them away: in ten seconds they spoil, and the rivals get nothing.
Tactics
The key to victory is teamwork
There are exactly as many tools on the rack as a production line needs: two dig, three water and haul the harvest. A vegetable can only be pulled with both hands, so the picker has to drop the tools — and someone has to take over their job. And the rivals walk the same beds as you.
