The WARPOINT ARENA VR tournament in Costa Rica drew well-known brands and streamers

The second WARPOINT ARENA VR tournament in Latin America again gathered local fans of esports in virtual reality and gave everyone a chance to prove themselves

On 10 November Costa Rica hosted the second WARPOINT ARENA VR tournament, with a prize fund of 1,000,000 colones.
Twelve teams met at the VR arena in Heredia, in the Mall Oxígeno shopping centre. The tournament was supported by the well-known brands Monster Energy and Chiky, and local streamers played in the matches.

The second VR tournament in Costa Rica brought together experienced players and newcomers: of the 12 teams taking part, 6 were made up of returning participants from the first VR tournament, and the other 6 of new players. Among the debutants were four squads of gamers from popular Battle Royale titles, as well as a team of local streamers: Clan Locotes, MediaCalle, abuelogamercr, maeStream21, Odir206, StuartRojas, Steven Alfaro, Daniel Bastos, sirtonygames.

The competition followed the classic rules of WARPOINT tournaments: “Team battle, 4v4, first to 5 wins.” The experienced participants of the previous VR tournament made it to the final. Victory went to Redemption, who took the honourable first place and the main prize of 740,000 colones. Second place went to the Spetsnaz team, who received 200,000 colones, and third place and 60,000 colones went to Sons of Liberty.

The successful second WARPOINT ARENA VR tournament in Costa Rica shows the growing interest in tournaments and esports. Interest in WARPOINT is rising and strengthening the brand’s position on the international stage.

Registration has recently closed for the WARPOINT tournament in Rostov-on-Don with a prize fund of $3,600, which takes place on 1 December. We will tell you about it in the next news.
