The Tobolsk WARPOINT VR tournament set a regional record for participants

On 20 March one of the largest VR tournaments in the Russian regions came to a close in Tobolsk, at the WARPOINT VR arena in the Eurasia trade and hotel complex. Twenty-eight teams took part in the VR competition — a record for WARPOINT tournaments in the Tyumen region and one of the highest turnouts among regional tournaments in this discipline.
The tournament was organised by the trade union and the Youth Movement of ZapSibNeftekhim, a plant of the SIBUR group.

Tournament results

  • 1st place — Releynye avtomatchiki
  • 2nd place — Just Do It
  • 3rd place — Missclick
The best player of the tournament — Vladislav Yevseev, captain of Missclick.

Comments from the participants

— We did not expect such results and did not work out any special tactics. We plan to take part again... In the game alone we covered more than 10 kilometres.
— Alexander Novosyolov, captain of Releynye avtomatchiki.
— We had no idea about the game — we tried it for the first time when we had already entered the tournament. In a single practice session we came together as a real team.
— Ivan Podshivalov, captain of Just Do It.
— We spent a lot of time practising… Every game was a chance for us to sharpen our skills and strengthen the team spirit. The competition was fierce.
— Vyacheslav Lvov, captain of Missclick.
Several more WARPOINT ARENA VR tournaments took place in April. The competitions are held all across Russia.
