The Phygital Sports Federation in Penza supported the tournament combining WARPOINT ARENA and judo.
On November 22, 2024, the first phygital tournament in the region, combining judo and WARPOINT ARENA, took place in Penza, organized with the support of the Phygital Sports Federation. Phygital is a new competition format that integrates digital and traditional sports disciplines.
The tournament allowed participants to showcase their skills both in virtual reality and on the tatami. The competition began at the WARPOINT VR arena in the Lev shopping center, where teams competed in the "3D Tactical Combat" discipline within the VR shooter WARPOINT ARENA. The participants then moved to the tatami at the NO FRD "Yama Arashi," where they continued with judo matches.
Young athletes born in 2011-2012 from four teams participated:
"Yama Arashi" – coach Maxim Shepelev
"Tigers" – coach Andrey Kuskov
"Judo 19," two squads – coach Pavel Kosyakov
Winners were determined based on cumulative results across both disciplines: the virtual "3D Tactical Combat" and the judo matches on the tatami. Final results of the tournament:
🥇 First place: team "Yama Arashi"
🥈 Second place: team "Tigers"
🥉 Third place: both squads of team "Judo 19"
Collaboration with the Phygital Sports Federation highlights WARPOINT's role in creating new formats that combine traditional sports with digital technologies. This is WARPOINT's first experience in the phygital direction, which the company plans to actively develop.
